Eyes
are one of the most important parts of our body. We see what we see
and how we look like because we have eyes. Just like the rest of your
body, your eyes are susceptible to danger. Eyes are very delicate
because of which your eyes may get in trouble over small things.
There are many small to big eye complications. You need to go see an
eye doctor
when even small complications happen to your eyes because small
complications can lead to big eye problems.
Three
most common eye problems:
- Cataracts: This problem is present mostly in people who are 50 years old or older but they can develop at any age. The symptoms of cataracts are clouded eye lenses. It can be also because of an injury or lack of protein which can make the fluid inside your eyes lens go cloudy. UV rays exposure and any trauma to your eyes are risky in this case. You can get vision loss if cataracts are not treated. The good thing is that you can cure cataracts completely through surgery.
- Keratoconus: When the collagen fibres found inside your cornea weaken it can cause structure failure. What happens after the failure is that the cornea will bulge out and you will get a lot of vision loss if not treated in time by the right eye doctor. If you leave something like this condition untreated, chances are that you will require an invasive cornea transplant.
- Diabetic Retinopathy: This is quite a common eye problem and is caused by the changes felt in retinal blood vessels. If you have Types 1 and 2 blood sugar associated diabetes then you will experience high blood sugar that is prolonged and cause deep damage to your eyes’ various structure. The most common damage is intraocular bleeding and that is caused by the blockage or rupture of small blood vessels.
