Salvia divinorum as a cure for disease

Now thought of as an herb that can be used in curing a wide array of diseases, salvia divinorum may just have found its niche in the medical community. This Mexican herb that is part of the mint family is now being studied by various researchers as a possible cure for Alzheimer’s disease as well as alcohol addiction, chronic pain, insomnia and schizophrenia while other researchers are looking at it as a possible alleviating help for people with cancer and cardiovascular disease. Whether it be the salvia 60x pack or another size, it has been shown to be non toxic and non-addictive and it is also good when used during psychotherapy. Salvia improves the level and speed of blood circulation in the myocardium which now becomes a deterring measure against cardio vascular diseases. It also clears out toxins from the skin and relieves inflammation.

Over the years there have been many methods of dispensing salvia divinorum and the earliest methods comprised crushing the leaves of the plant to get an extract from the leaves which was now mixed with water and drank. Modern users are now into the smoking of salvia divinorum whether it be the salvia 60x or another amount and now a days the leaves are either smoked dried or in a water pipe. Chewing salvia is another popular way to ingest the leaves and extracts but it must be done with a lot of care since it is believed that the active ingredient of the plant is deactivated in the digestive system so chewers hold it in their mouth for as long as possible to absorb the most amount of salvia in the blood stream.

There is enough promising research going on with salvia divinorum to give it an edge and make it prospective and active ingredient in the curing of diseases that are beyond our reach and I am sure before long salvia 60x and its attending parts will be sold in all drug stores for its health benefits.
